Overview
I am a PhD student in the Department of Mathematics at Florida State University. My interests lie broadly in applications of intersection theory to combinatorial algebraic geometry, with a particular focus on characteristic classes both in algebraic geometry and tropical geometry. My PhD advisor is Dr. Paolo Aluffi. Here is a copy of my CV. Here is a talk I gave at the Schubert Seminar about the Chern-Schwartz-MacPherson cycle of a matroid.
Publications
- Linear orbits of smooth quadric surfaces, Advances in Applied Mathematics (to appear).
- A "staircase"formula for the Chern-Schwartz-MacPherson cycle of a matroid, Preprint. Joint work with Jeffery Liu
