Topology of Homology Manifolds (J. Bryant, S. Ferry, W. Mio and S. Weinberger)

The main result is a solution to the Resolution Conjecture. We construct examples of nonresolvable compact ENR homology manifolds in dimensions greater than five, that is, compact ENR homology manifolds that cannot be obtained as cell-like quotients of closed topological manifolds. We also obtain an s-cobordism classification of these spaces.
