Abstract. I shall introduce a representation theoretic noncommutative correspondence category NCC. The well-known KK-category can be regarded as a category of noncommutative correspondences in the operator algebraic setting. I shall discuss a functorial passage from the KK-category to the aforementioned category NCC. I shall discuss some potentially beneficial consequences of this construction.
