A research laboratory, specializing in computational visualization, opened in March of this year and is a joint initiative between the Statistics and Mathematics Departments at FSU. Funded from a number of different sources, it consists of a number of high performance computers for visualization and computation and is a result of the efforts of Anuj Srviastava, Jayram Sethuraman, (statistics) and De Witt Sumners (mathematics). In this seminar I will discuss the facility that are available and the research projects that I and others are using this facility for, including mapping the brain, automated target recognition and shape modeling.
