Tallahassee Irish Step Dancers At The Dixie

The Tallahassee Irish Step Dancers at the Dixie.

Sunday afternoon was the musical highlight of the weekend for anyone with even the slightest bit of Irish blood in them. Well, on St. Patrick's Day everyone's Irish, so what better way to spend SPD Eve than seeing the Step Dancers do their stuff.

When Riverdance exploded onto the stage and into America's conciousness, a renewal of interest in the native Celtic dances followed. David Jones, a professional dancer by trade and by avocation got caught up in the Irish Step Dance wave too. The result is a group of folks as young as seven and as old as the Nite Owl (ancient) who love to give it a fling. Under the tutelage of David, these folks can really put on a show. And that's exactly what they did Sunday afternoon.

From start to finish this group of dancers put on a high energy, highly polished, and highly charged performance that delighted the large crowd in attendence.

It's a pretty good bet that these folks will be back again next year for their third annual pilgrimage.

Good Stuff!
