  MAS 3301. Introduction to Modern Algebra (3). Prerequisites: MAC 2312; MAS 3105. Groups, permutations and symmetries, rings, integral domains, properties of the integers, fields and rational numbers. Mathematics majors must take MAS 4302 instead.
