Haomiao (Andrew) Fan completed his MS in Financial Mathematics from FSU in 2013. After graduation, he worked as a quant for several years before joining his current company, Citigroup in Tampa, as a Assistant Vice President, Counterparty Risk Analyst.
Jon Yeatman completed his MS in Financial Mathematics from FSU in 2011. After graduation, he joined the Florida State Board of Administration (SBA) in Tallahassee. He is now a portfolio manager at SBA.
Wan-Yu Tsai completed her PhD in Financial Mathematics from FSU in 2017. After graduation she joined Bank of America as a Quantitative Finance Analyst in Charlotte, NC.
David Mandel completed his PhD in Financial Mathematics from FSU in 2017. After graduation he joined JP Morgan's Electronic Trading Model Risk team in New York City.
Yuanda Chen completed his PhD in Financial Mathematics from FSU in 2017. After graduation he joined Goldman Sachs as a strategist. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Master's degree in Systems Engineering.
Chun-Yuan Chiu completed his PhD in Financial Mathematics from FSU in 2016. After graduation he joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch's Rates team in the Quantitative Strategies Group in New York City.
Mingfei Qiu obtained her Ph.D. in Statistics and M.S. in Financial Mathematics in Fall 2015. After graduation, she has been working at Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta as a Senior Quantitative Risk Management Analyst in the Department of Enterprise Risk Management.
Nguyen obtained her Ph.D. in Financial Mathematics in 2014. After graduation she took a position as Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Youngstown State University, Youngstown, Ohio.
Ibukun Amusan obtained his PhD in Financial Mathematics at Florida State University in August 2013. He joined Kentucky State University as a visiting assistant professor immediately after graduating, and he still works there currently as an assistant professor of mathematics.
Pierre Garreau earned his PhD in Financial Mathematics in 2013. He is a French Floridian living in Germany, building companies and machine learning magic for the Maritime Industry. He is a former Quant at Deutsche Bank and Applied Math postdoc at UCLA.
Wanwan Huang earned her PhD in Financial Mathematics in 2013. She currently works as an Assistant Professor at Roosevelt University in the Chicago.
He Huang obtained his master's degree and Ph.D. from FSU in 2009 and 2012 respectively. His Ph.D. thesis involved the study of limit order books dynamics. His internship at Bell Trading and experience in advanced probability models led him to his current position as a Quantitative Analyst at AllianceBernstein L.P.
Dervis Bayazit obtained his Ph.D. in Financial Mathematics in the Summer of 2010 for his work in "Sensitivity Analysis of Options under Levy Processes via Malliavin Calculus". In 2009-2010, he worked as a Quantitative Risk Analyst at Southern Company in Atlanta. Since then he has been working at Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta as a senior financial risk analyst in the Financial Risk Modeling Department.
Scarlett Tian completed her Master degree in 2010 at Florida State University. Her interest in acturial sciences led her towards the field of Insurance. She is currently helping to build risk-based systems which requires in-depth actuarial knowledge. Since the obtention of her diploma at Florida State University, she works at the Actuary Advisory division of Ernst &Young in China, at the Advisory Beijing Office.
Ahmet Göncü completed his Ph.D. in financial mathematics at Florida State University in 2009 under the supervision of Professor Giray Ökten. After graduation he worked at the Center for Economic Research at Shandong University of China. Since 2011 Summer he has been working as an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University in China.
Milena Tzigantcheva completed her PhD in 2009 at FSU. She worked at SBA in Tallahassee for 9 years, the last 3 as the Director of Risk Management. She moved to Boston in 2010 and has worked at State Street as VP since then. Milena enjoys travel, art and the company of family and friends.
Brian Walters came to FSU on a Fulbright scholarship to study financial mathematics. He finished his MS degree in 2009 after which he joined TransMarket Group in Chicago as a trader. He established the Collegiate Kiteboarding Association as a non-profit 501-c of which he maintains the role of President of the organization.
Wuming Zhu completed his Ph.D. degree in 2008 in the Department of Mathematics at The Florida State University. After graduation, he joined NextEra Energy Resouces, LLC. as a quantitative analyst. He is currently a Senior Analyst of Business Management. He lives in Palm Beach Gardens. He likes tennis, racquetball, fishing and national parks, and of course math.
Dr Andrew Culham earned his PhD in Financial Mathematics in 2007 under the supervision of Profs. Alec Kercheval and Paul Beaumont. After FSU he worked at NextEra Energy in Juno Beach, FL for three years as a quant and a trader. In 2010 he accepted a position with Exelon Power Team in Kennett Square, PA as a senior quant. Exelon merged with Constellation Energy in 2012 and his position is now in Baltimore, MD.
Hong Mu holds an undergraduate degree in math, and became a game software programmer early on. He graduated with a Master's in Financial Mathematics from FSU in 2007 and started working for ING North American Insurance.
Xiaoyu (Eric) Yu completed his master degree of financial mathematics in 2007 at Florida State University. Since then he worked at financial and energy companies focusing on trading, quantitative analysis and risk management. He now lives and works in Houston, Texas.
Sally Chen graduated from FSU's financial math program in 2006. She currently works Senior Research Analyst at a Fortune 100 P&C insurance company in Boston, a place she calls "snow globe" during winter.
Kendra Hill lives in Tallahassee with her husband Kenneth Hill, who is also a graduate of the Financial Mathematics program. She worked in the Financial Services Industry for nearly 6 years before making a move into the Consulting arena. Kendra has been with Deloitte Consulting for 2 years now and enjoys traveling and outdoor activies such as running and cycling.
Benoit Montin joined C12 Capital Management US LP in 2009, a multi-asset macro hedge fund based in New York City. His current responsibilities include portfolio optimization and analytics. Previously, Mr. Montin spent three years at Barclays Capital as a quantitative analyst for the proprietary mortgage trading group. Prior to Barclays, he was a financial consultant for Murex North America, a privately-held financial software company.
