Title: Uncertainty quantification in quasi-one-dimensional nozzle flow
Abstract: Uncertainty quantification and propagation in CFD is essential due to the intrinsic variability or incomplete knowledge associated with physical system. In quasi-one-dimensional nozzle flow, the uncertain inlet conditions, exit pressure and nozzle geometry are ascribed to the undetermined shock position. The mixed aleatory-epistemic uncertainty in the shock position is quantified using Dempster-Shafer theory combined with the conventional techniques in probability theory, such as Monte-Carlo method, polynomial chaos.
