Computer Codes for the Biophysical Journal Publication
The computer programs below are for
Biophysical Journal, vol. 99,
pp. 76-84, 2010. They are used to study the persistence or
termination of metabolic oscillations in islets when calcium oscillations
are inhibited. The programs run with the XPPAUT computer software.
XPPAUT is free, and runs on Unix, Linux, and Windows machines.
It can be downloaded from the website of
Bard Ermentrout .
- The Dual Oscillator Model.
This was used in Figures 1c,d and 2. The first file is a
MATLAB M-file that you can use if you don't like XPP. The
others are for use with XPP. There is an ode file with the
XPP code, followed by set files that are read in from within XPP.
