Computer Codes for the Biophysical Journal 2007 Publication
The computer programs below are for
Biophysical Journal, vol. 92,
pp. 1544-1555, March 2007. They are for models of glycolytic
oscillations,
and glycoltic oscillations coupled to mitochondrial metabolism and
beta-cell electrical and calcium activity. The programs
run with the XPPAUT computer software.
XPPAUT is free, and runs on Unix, Linux, and Windows machines.
It can be downloaded from the website of
Bard Ermentrout .
- The full beta-cell model
This program has electrical, calcium, glycolytic, and mitochondrial
components. It was used to make Figures 2, 3, 4, and 6.
Full.ode
- The full beta-cell model with two types of PFK
This is the full beta-cell model, but with both M-type (oscillatory)
and C-type (non-oscillatory) PFK. It was used to make Figures 7 and 8.
Full_2pfk.ode
- Glycolytic oscillations with two types of PFK
This program was used to make Figure 9.
