Financial Support options for Financial Math students |
- Teaching Assistantships provide tuition and a salary, normally for PhD students, and are awarded on a competitive basis.
- Tuition Waivers, which cover most of the tuition costs, are available to a small number of MS students each year.
- Actuarial Science Teaching Assistantships can be given to MS students in the Actuarial Science Track, or PhD students with experience in actuarial science. The number of these is limited, and preference is given to applicants who have already passed one or more Actuarial Examinations.
Applicants wishing to be considered for financial support will indicate that on the departmental application form. Awards of support are determined by the Department Chair and Associate Chair for Graduate Studies, and applicants will be notified of support offers during the admissions process.
